Peace Mails are stories from one of the people or communities that your gifts are helping. Each month we hear a new story from around the world. Peace Mails are sent to Act for Peace partners who support this work with their regular monthly gifts.
Below you can find the latest Peace Mail, as well as past editions, which document the incredible work being supported by Act for Peace Partners. To find out more about becoming an Act for Peace Partner, please click here.
Volume 7, Issue 11: Clearing cluster bombs saves lives in Iraq
 |
The residents of Chimany Azady, a village in Iraq, can now safely graze their animals in areas that were previously contaminated with cluster bombs, thanks to the work of Act for Peace’s project partner, the Mines Advisory Group (MAG).
In this month’s Peace Mail, Shoker Osman from Chimany Azady tells of his own terrible experience as a result of the contamination of his land with cluster bombs, and shares how the work of MAG has helped him, and other shepherds, to return to their land. Please click here to read the Peace Mail.
